* Type refers to the size, device emulation, sharing conditions, etc. If the LUN Expansion (LUSE) and Virtual LUN/Virtual
LVI features are installed, you can define any size of volume appropriate for your environment.
** Device names recognized on the host are determined by the path definition settings of P9500, OS internal rule,
and HBA device driver.

RAID Manager setup

The following example shows the horcm.conf file used for the sample configuration shown in
the
Figure 5 (page
file:
HORCM_MON and HORCM_INST are parameters used by RAID Manager to monitor Continuous
Access Synchronous and Business Copy pair status. If you do not plan to use these functions,
set localhost and default parameters. Set the proper parameters to use these functions.
HORCM_CMD describes the special file names of command device(s). RAID Manager finds the
command device(s) by referring to HORCM_CMD.
HORCM_DEV defines group names and device names to physical volumes in P9500 and uses
them in succeeding operations. In the above example, "oralog" and "log1- 1 " are defined as
the group name and the device name, respectively, referring to the device file
"/dev/dsk/c4t0d0" connecting to port "CL1-E" on the P9500.
