Repacking the Printer for Shipment

If you need to ship your printer to a service center, repack it in the original
packing materials. If the original packaging is not available, you can obtain
shipping instructions by contacting your dealer or by contacting:

To Repack The Printer

1. Turn the printer off.
2. Lift the cover.
3. Remove the image drum cartridge, including the toner cartridge.
4. Place the image drum cartridge into the black light-shield bag supplied
with your printer so it is not exposed to light, and store it in a cool, dry
place until your printer is returned.
Note: If you no longer have the light-shield bag, any black plastic bag will
do.
5. Close the cover. Tape the front manual feed tray to prevent opening
during shipment.
6. Remove and store the power cord and cables.
7. Wrap the printer in the plastic bag provided.
8. Place two foam end-caps in the bottom of the box, then carefully lower the
printer into the box.
9. Place the two remaining foam end-caps over the printer.
10. Place the cardboard tray on top.
11. Close the box and tape it securely.
Important! Any accessories, such as the 2nd Paper Tray Mechanism should be
sent separately in their own packing materials.
