Specify a unit of measurement

On the home screen, touch

Touch Paper Menu.

Touch Universal Setup.

Touch the right or left arrows to select Units of Measure and the correct units of measure.

Touch Submit.
Submitting Selection appears, followed by the Universal Setup menu.
Specify the paper height and width
To define a specific height and width measurement for the Universal paper size in the portrait orientation:

From the Universal Setup menu, touch Portrait Width.

Touch the arrows to select the paper width setting.
Submitting Selection appears, followed by the Universal Setup menu.

Touch Portrait Height.

Touch the arrows to select the paper height setting.
Submitting Selection appears, followed by the Universal Setup menu.
Specify the feed direction
Feed direction appears only if the paper can be loaded in either direction. If this is the case, then you can define the
feed direction.

From the Universal Setup menu, touch Feed direction.

Touch Short edge or Long edge depending on how you would like the print to appear on the page.

Load the paper according to your feed direction selection.

Touch to return to the home screen.

Printing on a different size or type of paper

The Paper Size setting is determined by the position of the paper guides in the tray for all trays except the multipurpose
feeder. The Paper Size setting for the multipurpose feeder must be set manually.
The factory default Paper Type setting is Plain Paper. The Paper Type setting must be set manually for all trays that do
not contain plain paper.

Touch the right and left arrows to select the paper size, type, and tray.

Touch Submit.

Touch to return to the home screen.
