Fuser Narrow Media Sensor/Flag Assembly Removal
1. Remove the fuser assembly.
2. Cut the cable tie from the fuser board cable bundle.
3. Disconnect the narrow media sensor from the fuser board. The
sensor can be removed without removing the lower exit guide
assembly.
4. Noting the location of the sensor flag, depress the two lower
sensor mounting pins and remove the sensor assembly.
5. Align the sensor flag with the flag opening, in the lower exit
guide assembly, and snap the sensor into place. Be sure the
sensor operates correctly.
6. Replace the cable tie on the cable bundle.
Fuser Exit Sensor Flag Assembly Removal
1. Cut the cable tie from the fuser board cable bundle.
2. Disconnect the exit sensor from the fuser board.
3. Noting the location of the sensor flag, depress the two lower
sensor mounting pins and remove the sensor assembly.
4. Align the sensor flag with the flag opening, in the lower exit
guide assembly, and snap the sensor into place. Be sure the
sensor operates correctly.
5. Replace the cable tie on the cable bundle.
Note: The exit sensor assembly can be removed without removing
the lower exit guide assembly. Make sure the narrow media sensor
flag is correctly positioned before snapping the sensor in place.
