Adjusting the DTMF Setting

Your phone transmits dual tone multi-frequency (DTMF) tones
when you press a key on the keypad. These tones are used to
communicate with automated systems, such as credit card entry,
password entry, or number linking.
Your phone can send DTMF tones to the network in long or short
form. The long form transmits tones for as long as you press a
key. The short form (default setting) transmits the tones for a
limited time period determined by your carrier's automated
calling system requirements.
