2 Press the CH+ or CH– button to select PARENTAL GUIDE, then press the VOL+ or
VOL– button.The RATING screen opens.
3 Press the CH+ or CH– button to select a TV rating, then press the VOL+ or VOL–
button to block or unblock a rating. Some ratings have sub-ratings that let you block. A
check mark indicated that a rating or sub-rating is blocked.
Main TV ratings are:
• TV-Y–All children
• TV-Y7–Children seven years and older
• TV-G–General audiences
• TV-PG–Parental guidance suggested
• TV-14–Parental guidance strongly suggested for children under 14
• TV-MA–Mature audiences only
TV sub-ratings are:
• ALL–(Applies to TV-G, TV-PG, TV-14, and TV-MA) Blocks all TV programs with
these ratings.
• FV–Fantasy violence. You can set this rating for TV-Y and TV-Y7.
• D–Sexual dialog. You can set this rating for TV-PG and TV-14.
• L–Adult language. You can set this rating for TV-PG, TV-14, and TV-MA.
• S–Sexual situations. You can set this rating for TV-PG, TV-14, and TV-MA.
• V–Violence. You can set this rating for TV-PG, TV-14, and TV-MA.
