Printing a self test
Perform the following steps to print a self test:
1. Plug the printer's power cord into an electrical outlet.
2. Turn the printer on.
The printer prints the self-test characters (80 per line) until you
turn the printer off again.
3. To stop self-test printing, turn the printer power off.
Returning the jumper to its original position
Once the self test is complete, you'll need to remove the interface
card and return the jumper to the OFF position. Follow these steps:
1.
Unplug the printer's power cord.
2.
Remove the two screws holding the interface card in place.
3.
Gently slide the interface card out of the compartment.
4.
Gently remove the jumper from both pins and reinsert it over a
single pin.
5.
Reinstall the interface card in your printer.
