digital stations), then press or to select an advanced closed
captioning option. You can select CS1-CS6 (displays content
provided by broadcaster).

ENTER. The DTV closed captioning styles menu opens.

7 Press or to highlight Style, then press or to select
Custom.
Note: To reset the closed captioning styles to their defaults, set Style to
Default.
8 Press or to highlight a style, then press or adjust the
style. You can select:
• Size–To select a size for the words.
• Font–To select a font for the words.
• Text Color–To select a color for the text.
• Text Opacity–To select the opacity for the text.
• Background Color–To select a color for the background.
• Background Opacity–To select the opacity for the
background.
• Edge Effect–To select a effect for the edges.
9 Press EXIT to close the menu.

Selecting the menu language

To select the on-screen menu language:
1 Press MENU. The on-screen menu opens.

2 Press or to highlight SETTINGS, then press . The
SETTINGS menu opens.
Parental Controls
Language
Time
Closed Caption
Input Labels
Computer Settings
Reset to Default
3 Press or to highlight Language, then press or to
select the menu language you want. Options include English,
French, and Spanish.
4 Press EXIT to close the menu.

Labeling an input source

You can add a label to an input source to make it easier to identify.
To label an input source:
1 Press MENU. The on-screen menu opens.
