Issue
Switch Ethernet connection will become inaccessible
if the Access Control List (ACL) contains IPv6 entries,
and the firmware is downgraded to version
09.06.xx or earlier. IPv6 is supported only by firm-
ware version 09.07 xx or later.
If SSL is enabled and an HAFM/EFCM Basic
browser session is open, and the keys are reset us-
ing another switch interface, then the current
browser session will no longer function.
If a server configured to receive syslog messages
has both IPv6 and IPv4 addresses configured, then
syslog messages are not sent to the configured
server when only the IPv6 address of the server is
available.
A Fabric Init error may occur when a two-switch
fabric has only one ISL between them, and the ISL
is blocked and unblocked. When this occurs, the
fabric is not formed.
B-series switches display a Gx port connection as
Loopback when should display a segmented condi-
tion, for M-series Edge Switch 2/24 or McDATA
Sphereon 4500, M4700, or M4400.

Workaround
Before downgrading firmware to a version earlier than
09.07.00, IPv6 addresses must first be removed from
the ACL.
Open a new browser session and login to the switch
again using HAFM/EFCM Basic.
Configure only IPv6 or IPv4 addresses of the server which
is configured to receive syslog messages. Alternatively,
if the server's syslog client allows setting different listen-
ing ports for the IPv6 and IPv4 addresses, then this will
allow using both.
When encountered, this can be corrected by setting one
of the switches offline and then back online. This would
be disruptive to devices connected to the switch that is
set offline, and should be planned for accordingly.
Configure port as G_port and not Gx_port when attach-
ing to B-series.
