Erroneous message from save/restore configuration
An erroneous message, "Warning: Switch IP ACL list will not be enabled because host IP Address is
not found in the list", is issued while doing save/restore configuration with IP access control list (ACL)
state enabled. This message can be ignored as restore happens successfully.
Firmware installation error if zoneset activation not completed
An error indication on firmware installation: "Cannot install firmware. Fabric configuration management
operation in progress", can be encountered if a very large zone set, particularly with NPIV members,
is activated just prior to firmware installation. This can occur when the zoneset activation is not yet
completed before the firmware installation is started. To avoid this, do not schedule firmware installation
at the same time as activation of large zonesets. If encountered, wait until the zoneset activation is
completed and proceed with firmware installation.
Erroneous event reason code reported
If Port is disabled (blocked) due to meeting the threshold criteria defined in the port fencing policy
with FL Loop Device in M4700,M4400, or Edge Switch 2/24 (Sphereon 4500), and results in an
Event 82 being reported, the reason code in the event may be incorrect.
SNMP object returns incorrect value
The SNMP object t11NsInfoSubsetTableLastChange does not return the proper value of the
last change in the Name Server timestamp, but instead returns the value 0 days
00h:00m:00s.00th.
Syslog client may not show IPv6 address
If a server configured to receive syslog messages has both IPv6 and IPv4 addresses configured, the
"Source IP" shown by the syslog client on the server may only be the IPv4 address even though the
switch is opened using IPv6 address.
Event may be logged more frequently than expected
If there are short and medium CIDR (Continuous Incident Detection and Reporting) events, they are
reported every 3 hours where they should be reported every 24 hours, so there could be more of
these types of event appearing in the Event log than would normally be expected.
