9. Carefully push Tray 1 straight into the printer.
To avoid paper jams, make sure the tray is securely inserted.
• To reinsert the extender, you might have to push it with moderate force.
• The remaining paper indicator on the left front side of the paper tray shows approximately how
much paper is remaining.

Setting a paper size using the control panel
To load paper whose size cannot be selected automatically, set the paper size on the control panel.
Follow the procedure described below to set the paper size.
