In Privileged mode, the shutdown command powers off the virtual machine. In Interface Configuration mode, the
shutdown command disables the interface.
To enable a disabled interface, use no before the command.
Syntax
[no] shutdown

vShield(config)# interface mgmt
vShield(config-if)# shutdown
