Renaming Your PCs
You many want to consider renaming your networked PCs. Using names
everyone in your family understands will make it easier to find media
content on your PCs. For example, you could use names like "Dad's PC,"
"Mom's PC," "Living Room PC," etc.
For Windows XP:
1 Click Start on the Windows status bar.
2 Right-click My Computer, then select Properties.
3 Click the Computer Name tab, then click the Change button.
4 Type the new Computer Name, then click OK.
5 Type your User Name and Password, then click OK.
For Windows 2000:
1 Right-click My Computer, then select Properties
2 Click the Network Identification tab, then click the Properties button.
3 Type the new Computer Name, then click OK.
4 Type your User Name and Password, then click OK.
