The HDTV sound options allow you to adjust the following settings: bass,
treble and dynamic range compression. Or, you can take advantage of
preset sound options which automatically adjust the settings based upon
the type of program you are watching.
For example, if you select the "Music" option, the sound settings will change
to reflect the subtleties of a musical soundtrack or a concert performance.
Adjusting Sound Options Manually
You can adjust the sound options manually through the Custom Sound menu. The
settings available for adjustment are: bass, treble and dynamic range compression.
Dynamic range compression tones down the volume of the loudest sounds and
optimizes the quieter sounds, such as dialogue.
To adjust the sound options manually:

Highlight the Sound icon and press ENTER.

Highlight Custom Sound and press ENTER.

To adjust the:
Bass,
highlight Bass and press ENTER. Move the
I-Point control to the left to decrease or to the right to
increase the Bass setting. Press ENTER.
Treble,
highlight Treble and press ENTER. Move the
I-Point control to the left to decrease or to the right to
increase the Treble setting. Press ENTER.
Dynamic range compression,
press ENTER repeatedly to alternate between On and Off.
This setting will automatically adjust the sound level.

Press EXIT to exit the menu.
Using Preset Sound Options
The sound options let you choose from Samsung's preset sound
settings that are designed especially for certain kinds of programming.
To select a preset sound option:

Highlight the Sound icon and press ENTER.

Highlight Sound Options and press ENTER.

Highlight the preset sound option you wish to set.
Your choices are:
Standard
Resets the sound options to the factory settings.
Music
Enhances the richness of musical soundtracks.
