Selecting the Picture Size

Your HDTV is designed to receive picture signals from a variety of sources. These
signals can be in a widescreen format for HDTV channels (16:9), in a regular for-
mat for analog channels (4:3) or in panorama, which stretches the regular format to
fit the widescreen format.
The HDTV automatically selects the correct picture size for digital signals, there-
fore, you will only adjust the picture size for analog signals.
In general, you choose:
16:9
for programs broadcast or recorded in a widescreen format.
4:3
for programs broadcast or recorded in a regular format.
Panorama
for programs broadcast or recorded in a regular format that you
would like to view in a widescreen format. The HDTV will stretch the picture
image to fill the entire screen. It is normal for a program displayed in panorama
to be slightly distorted on the left and right edges of the screen.
To select picture size:
1
Highlight the Picture icon and press ENTER.
2
Highlight Select Picture Size and press ENTER.
3
Highlight either 16:9 , 4:3 or Panorama and press ENTER.
You will see the effect of the new picture size on the screen.
If you are dissatisfied with the new picture size, select
another size.
