If the heating element on a Dimplex DF2603 won't heat up, follow these steps:
1. Check for Loose Wiring – Trace the wiring in the unit to ensure all connections are secure (refer to Page 7 of the manual). 2. Inspect the Heater On/Off Switch – A defective switch could prevent the heater from working. If faulty, replace the heater on/off switch (refer to Page 14). 3. Examine the Heater Assembly – If the heater assembly is defective, replace it (refer to Page 17). 4. Ensure Thermal Cut-Out is Not Tripped – If the thermal cut-out has tripped, unplug the unit and discontinue use. Replace the heater assembly if necessary.
Always unplug the unit before performing any maintenance.
