Discovering Unmanaged Workstations using LDAP

To discover workstations using a directory service, such as Microsoft Active Directory or Novell
Directory Services, a new LDAP connection must be added.
To add a new LDAP Connection, complete the following steps:
1. Select the LDAP Connection node ([Core_Server_Name]>Workstations > Discovered
Workstations > LDAP Connections) and choose the Add LDAP Connection action.
2. The Add New LDAP Connection dialog is displayed. Specify the following values:
• Select Windows Active Directory or Novell eDirectory.
• Specify the Server and the LDAP Domain. To the right of the ADS path label, the connection
string that is used to connect to the LDAP server is displayed.
