Make sure that "SET" is highlighted, then press the W but-
ton.

Write down your passcode, then press the W button.
Keep your passcode in a safe place.

Turning the security lock off

1.
While the unit is stopped, press the MENU/STOP button for at least two (2)
seconds.
2.
Press the Y or T button to select "COMMON", then press the W button.
3.
Press the Y or T button to select "SECURITY OFF".
4.
Press the Y or T button to select a number for the first digit of your pass-
code, then step to the next digit by pressing the W button.
5.
Enter a number for digits 2 to 4 of your passcode in the same way.
6.
Make sure that "RESET" is highlighted, then press the W button.
After you turn off the security lock, the passcode returns to "0000", which is the
factory default.
Playing back a file in the locked S folder
1.
While the unit is stopped, press the FOLDER/INDEX button
for at least two (2) seconds to select the S folder, then
press the W button.
2.
Press the Y or T button to select a number for the first
digit of your passcode.
3.
Enter a number for digits 2 to 4 of your passcode in the same way.
4.
Make sure that "OK" is highlighted, then press the W but-
ton.
Playback begins.
