- Page 8 3 General Information Kübler Group The secure encoder supports safety functions as a sensor for speed and direction of rotation. The encoder is not able independently to bring about a safe state in the safety function. Hazardous situations have to be detected and evaluated by a higher-level control. The deployment location can also be where flammable mixtures can occur, see chapter Explosion Protection [} 13].
