The winch extension is turned using a manual crank or a hand wrench to raise the tire into the stowed position and to lower it for use. The spare tire carrier has a maximum weight rating of 150 lbs (68 kg). -

Failure to correctly follow the provided instructions may result in death, serious personal injury, severe product and/or property damage, including voiding of the Lippert limited warranty. The "WARNING" symbol above is a sign that a procedure has a safety risk involved and may cause death or serious personal injury if not performed safely and within the parameters set forth in this manual. -

Operation DO NOT use a power drill or impact wrench to operate the winch extension. DO NOT continue to rotate winch extension after the tire is in its proper position. Use of power tools and over-extension of the winch can damage the winch or its cable, which could result in the spare tire dropping away from its stowed position. -
Page 5: To Stow Tire
To Stow Tire Place the tire underneath the spare tire carrier and thread the end of the winch inside the wheel hub opening and tire rim. (Fig. 1). Use a crank handle or a socket wrench to turn the winch extension (Figs. 1 and 2) clockwise to increase tension against the wheel hub, and then raise the spare tire to the stow position. - Page 6 Lippert representative has been provided.
