Backers are to be incorporated into slide room construction, positioned where the SlimRack Plus gear racks will be mounted. Lippert recommends the backers be a 1" x 3" .060" (25.4mm x 76.2mm 1.5mm) aluminum that is wood stuffed. See diagram (Fig. 9) of slide room with backers. The backers do not need to be stuffed with wood if the aluminum wall thickness being used is at least .125".

Electrical Components NOTE: The controller will accept a rocker switch input by a four-pin Molex connector (recommend 39-01- 2045 or equivalent). The OEM is responsible for supplying the mating connector to the controller connector (Molex P/N 39301040). The controller is not waterproof. Mount the controller in a clean, dry and weathertight location that will keep it from being damaged but is easily accessible for service.

Route and attach the proper gauge electrical wire from the controller to the 12V DC battery. See Wiring Diagrams (Figs. 30 and 31). NOTE: Lippert recommends this circuit be protected with a 30 amp in-line fuse/resettable breaker (not included). Determine location to mount the wall switch. The location must be in view of slide-out and have a minimum depth of 1"...

  • Page 24: Modes

Modes The SlimRack Plus Slide-Out controller has multiple operating modes. Normal Operating Mode This is the operating mode which extends and retracts the slide while maintaining synchronization between the two sides. The controller will self-synchronize, detect end-of-travel, detect and store faults and electronically protect the slide-out when certain faults are detected.
  • Page 25: Manual Override Mode

When manually retracting the slide-out room, make sure that both sides of the slide-out room move together. Damage to the slide-out room may result if movement is not uniform. Manual Override Mode In the event that power is lost to the slide-out motor(s), the slide-out room can be manually retracted by following these steps.
  • Page 26: Alternate Override Modes

Alternate Override Modes If none of the previous override methods retract the slide-out room, it may be possible to manually retract the slide-out room by one of the following alternate methods. Both of these procedures will only be possible if there is access to the described areas. Manually retract the slide-out room using a ratchet and socket attached to the end of the coupler (Fig.

Troubleshooting The SlimRack Plus Slide-Out controller (Fig. 29) detects several faults. LEDs on the controller are used to indicate when the controller is driving a slide-out and faults. The QR code on the controller can be scanned with a mobile phone camera and leads to more troubleshooting documentation.
