Child safety lock

Control for child safety lock - left rear door
Mechanical child safety lock -

rear doors

The controls for the child safety locks are in the
rear edges of the rear doors and are only
accessible when the door is open. Use the
ignition key to turn the control and thus activate
or deactivate the child safety lock.
A
The doors cannot be opened from the
inside (twist outwards).
B
The doors can be opened from the inside
(twist inwards).

WARNING!
Remember that in the event of an accident,
rear seat passengers cannot open the rear
doors from the inside if the child safety
locks are activated. Therefore, keep the
lock buttons pulled up while driving! In
the event of an accident, rescue personnel
will then quickly be able to get into the car
from the outside.
NOTE! Cars equipped with electric child safety
locks do not have mechanical child safety locks
in the side doors.
Electric child safety catch
Electric child safety catch -
rear doors (option)
Use the button on the centre console to activate
or deactivate the child safety catches in the rear
doors. The ignition switch must be in position I
or II. When the LED in the button comes on it
indicates that the child safety catch is activated.
A message will also appear in the display when
you activate or deactivate the child safety
catches.
NOTE! As long as the electric child safety
catches are activated, the rear doors cannot be
opened from the inside.
