Probable Cause
Indicates that a field-replaceable unit (FRU) is shutting down due to overheating. This is typically
due to a faulty fan but can also be caused by the switch environment.
Recommended
Verify that the location temperature is within the operational range of the switch. Refer to the
Action
hardware reference manual for the environmental temperature range of your switch.
Run the fanShow command to verify that all fans are running at normal speeds. If any fans are
missing or are not performing at a high enough speed, they should be replaced.

Indicates that a nonbladed system has overheated and may shut down. All fan speeds are dumped
to the console.
