Symptom
Talk key flashes rapidly; Advanced
Keypad indicates Wrong

Possible Cause
Keypad connected to door station port or

Open power or ground wire in CAT-5 cable
or bad termination
Programming jumper is shorting 2 pins on
right edge of second circuit board
Faulty port on hub
Open status wire in CAT-5 cable or bad
termination
Open communication wire in CAT-5 cable
or bad termination
Open communication wire in CAT-5 cable
or bad termination
Keypad was connected to hub while
system was powered
Room speakers not properly connected to
keypad
Open audio wire in CAT-5 cable or bad

System has a bad keypad
Chime not selected at hub
Doorbell chime gain not adjusted
Doorbell chime volume set to variable level
and keypads set to different volume levels
Open trigger wire in CAT-5 cable or bad

Multiple hubs not linked together
Hub 1 powered up too early (before other
hubs)

Troubleshooting
What to Do
Check keypad and door station
connections at hub
Check door station connections at hub
Assign a unique ID number for each hub
Make sure a power supply is plugged into
each hub and the AC circuit is energized
Check orange pair and terminations
Remove programming jumper
Power down, swap connector to another port,
power up; if keypad works OK, replace hub
Check green wire and terminations
Check blue pair and terminations
Check blue pair and terminations
Cycle power to hub(s) and wait 15 seconds
before using keypads
Make sure speakers are connected to keypad
output connector
Check brown pair and terminations
Disconnect one keypad at a time until popping
sound stops; replace keypad and cycle power
Select chime tone(s) on hub 1
Adjust doorbell chime gain on hub 1
Set doorbell chime volume switch to fixed
level (1)
Adjust keypad volume settings
Check green/white wire and terminations
Link hubs and cycle power
Cycle power on hub 1 last
