Rear Panel Connections

• Do not plug the AC input cord into the wall AC outlet until all connections are completed.
• Be sure to connect the white plugs to the L(Left) and the red plugs to the R(Right) jacks when making connec-
tions with the supplied cords.
• Refer to the connecting diagram in the operating insructions of your amplifier/receiver.
1. Connecting AUDIO OUTPUT jacks
Connect these jacks to CD (or AUX) INPUT jacks of your amplifier/receiver.
2. Connecting DIGI-LINK jack
Connect this jack to the DIGI-LINK jack of Sherwood system amplifier/receiver such an RX-772, etc. to
control this unit remotely by DIGI-LINK system. (For details, refer to the operating instructions of Sherwood
amplifier/receiver.)
§ Note :
• The DIGI-LINK operation may not work on some Sherwood components.
3. Connecting OPTICAL DIGITAL OUTPUT jack
Connect this jack to the OPTICAL DIGITAL INPUT jack of your amplifier/receiver to enjoy live digital sound.
§ Notes :
• It is not recommended to record digital audio signals with digital audio connection between this unit and
MD and CD recorder, etc.
When recording the sounds played on this unit, record them through the AUDIO OUTPUT jacks.
• All of the commercially-available optical fiber cords cannot be used for audio components.
If there is an optical fiber cord which cannot be connected to your components, consult your dealer or
nearest service organization.
4. AC INPUT
Plug the supplied AC input cord into this AC input and then into the wall AC outlet.
§ Note :
• Do not use an AC input cord other than the one supplied with this unit. The AC input cord supplied is
designed for use with this unit and should not be used with any other device.
