Connections

After connecting a USB connecting cable (supplied) to
the printer and the computer, connect the power cord.
For details about the printer connection, refer to the
manuals for the computer or other peripheral devices.

USB Port Connection

Notes
• Follow the connection procedures described in the
computer manual.
• Make sure that the interface cable is connected
securely at both ends.
• The printer drive software provided with the printer is
not suitable for using the printer connected to a
network.
• Operation of the printer is not guaranteed for
connection to a USB hub.

Securing the USB cable and power cord
To prevent disconnection of the USB cable and power
cord from accidental pulling, be sure to secure the cables
with the cable clamps when connecting them to the
printer.
To secure the USB cable
Wrap the cable clamp around the USB cable, and fasten
it securely as shown.
To secure the power cord
Wrap the cable clamp around the power cord, and fasten
it securely as shown.

Installing the Printer Driver

To install the printer driver, follow the instructions in the
ReadMe.txt file and the install guide on the supplied
CD-ROM.
