Chapter 4 Other Features; Volume Control - US Robotics 002805-00 Getting Started

This chapter explains how to use features specific to the Courier
V.Everything External Modem, including the volume control, the
Voice/Data switch, and MI/MIC operations.

Volume Control

The volume control is located under the right front of the
Courier. Slide the control toward the front of the Courier to
increase the volume. Slide the control toward the back of the
Courier to decrease the volume.
Use the ATMn command to control when the speaker sounds.
M1 is the default.
Mn Control when the speaker sounds.

Voice/Data Switch
HS AA CD NS RD SD DTR MR RTS
The speaker is always off.
The speaker is on until the call is negotiated.
The speaker is always on.
The speaker turns on after the last digit is dialed
and stays on until the call is negotiated.
