Connecting a Printer
to the AXIS 1440

Follow the instructions below to connect your EPSON printer to the
AXIS 1440 Print Server.
Make sure that the external power supply you're using has the
correct voltage.
1. Turn the printer off.
2. Connect the AXIS 1440 to your printer's parallel port.
3. Connect the external power supply to the external power supply
connector. The power indicator lights and the network indicator
start to flash during the power up and self test routines. The AXIS
1440 is ready to use when the network indicator stops flashing
and remains off.
1. Turn the printer on.
2. Press and release the test button on the AXIS 1440 to print a test
page.
If the test page prints successfully, the AXIS 1440 is connected to
the printer.
The test page includes a list of the most important parameters, as
well as the firmware version number.
