Section 3: Installing and Configuring the Print Server
See the following table to find your network configuration (operating
system and protocol) and determine what to install.
What you need to install and configure
1. Install AXIS Print Monitor (page 18).
2. Configure your AXIS 1440 for TCP/IP (page 23).
3. Configure workstation ports to use the AXIS 1440 (page 35).
1. Install AXIS NetPilot (page 18).
2. Use AXIS NetPilot to configure the AXIS 1440 (page 20 and page 31).
3. Capture the created NetWare queues from client workstations.
1. Install AXIS NetPilot and use this program to configure the AXIS
1440 for your network (page 20).*
2. Install AXIS Print Monitor (page 18).
3. Configure workstation ports to use the AXIS 1440 (page 35).
1. Install AXIS Print Utility for Windows on all workstations (page 19).
2. Configure workstation ports to print to the AXIS 1440 (page 41).
1. Install AXIS Print Utility for Windows on the server (page 19).
2. Set up the printer for sharing on the server (page 44).

4. Edit the LPR print queue.
* You don't need to install NetPilot if you don't plan to change the print
server name.
