King Post Pin Replacement: (Longer Pins)
Subject:
Replace King Post Pins with new longer pins
Service Required:
1.
Measure the length of the bottom king post pin, this can be done without any disassembly.
2.
If Pin measurement is 5-1/4" to 5-3/8", this procedure will not be required.
3.
If measurement is 5" or less, replace the pins according to the correct replacement procedure as
outlined in the operators manual and / or Service Manual.
4.
Boom must be flat on the floor and boom must be supported with a Hoist. All Hydraulic pressure
must be released for all cylinder. See Machete service manual for this procedure.
5.
Remove the pis one at a time, do not remove both pins at the same time and do not operate boom
or tractor until these jobs are finished.
Install the new pin. It may be required
to move boom to align pins. Moving
boom can usually be done by using the
hoist supporting the Boom
7.
Do Not drive pins in with a Hammer to
align pins, This will damage the com-
