The number of machines depends on the configuration of the DSP card. For example, the system
has two DSP cards each configured as four stereo machines for a total of eight machines. These
machines would be labeled Machine 1 to Machine 8, with the first machine on the second DSP
card labeled Machine 5. For another example, the system has two DSP cards each configured in
dual-surround mode for a total of four machines. These machines would be labeled Machine 1 to
Machine 4, with the first machine on the second DSP card labeled Machine 3.
