- Page 2 Keep the manual in a safe place for future reference. The VA / VAS rapid initial air vents can be used for water piping systems up to 1.0 MPaG (150 psig). These models rapidly vent air at start-up for moderate to hot water. After venting the initial air, the vent can then serve as a vacuum breaker.
