CHECK KIT CONTENTS FOR COMPLETENESS:
1. Quick Release Cap Assembly
2. 3/32" hex key
3. Liquid thread sealant
NOTE: Contact LiftMaster Customer Service if any damaged or missing parts are
discovered.
II. INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. If your gate operator cabinet has an access door, unlock and remove the door.
Continue with Step 3.
IMPORTANT: Turn off the gate operator power switch located on the left of the control box.
2. If your gate operator has no access door on its cover: Turn off power to the gate operator at the circuit
breaker.
IMPORTANT: Wait one minute - this will insure the Power Fail Option does not start the gate unexpectedly.
3. Remove mounting bolts and disconnect extension arm from arm cap assembly (figure 1).
4. Remove arm cap from output shaft by loosening arm cap's jam nut and plunger.
5. Before installing arm cap on shaft, push handle down on Quick Release Cap assembly (figure 2, x).
Then, pull plunger toward plunger lock handle (see y).

  • Page 2 6. Mount cap assembly to shaft. Line up plunger with countersink on shaft. Push in plunger (figure 3, x). Then, pull plunger lock handle up completely to secure plunger into countersink (see y). Plunger lock handle should snap properly into place (see adjustment procedure below).
