The actuator uses a stepper motor that provides sufficient torque for large loads up to 48 lbs (22 kg). The use of a trapezoidal leadscrew in the DRV013 provides a number of benefits over the more common Acme-style thread. The benefits are improved durability, lower friction due to improved surface quality, and nearly no back-drive.
