This appliance operates with one AA 1.5 V battery. For best performance, use an alkaline manganese battery (type LR 6, MN 1500, AM 3, AA).
Make sure the appliance is turned off and completely dry.
Turn the battery cover (4) as shown in (a) and pull it off.
Insert the battery with (+) pole up and replace the battery cover.
When action (e.g. speed/vibration) reduces, change the battery promptly. Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.
Batteries may explode or leak and cause burn injury if recharged, disposed of in fire, mixed with a different battery type, inserted backwards or disassembled.
If batteries leak, wipe device with a damp cloth and wash hands. If any material gets in eyes, contact a physician immediately.
Dispose of batteries according to national or local regulations. Remove the batteries before storing your device for extended periods.
Remove the protective cap (5) and slide switch (3) up.
Carefully guide the appliance to the hairs to be trimmed so that they reach into the cutting cage (1).
Please avoid introducing the trimmer more than 1/4˝ (5 mm) into nose or ear.
Remove the cutting cage (1) by turning counter-clockwise. Clean the cutting cage and the blade (2) under running water (b).
After cleaning, leave the cutting parts to dry before reassembling (c).
Apply a drop of light machine oil below the blade twice a year or more often if you clean the appliance with water.

At the end of their life, empty batteries and the appliance should not be discarded with household waste. Please dispose of them according to national or local regulations.
