Thank you for your purchase of the Para-Pump Booster System from Pentair Commercial Aquatics, manufacturer of Stark Filtration Systems. The following information is Installation and Operating Instructions for PARA- PUMP BOOSTER SYSTEM (PBS). We strongly recommend that you Read and understand all of these instructions prior to Installing and operating the PBS to avoid damage to the PBS or any of the filter system components.
3.0 PBS ASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Apply Teflon Tape or paste to all male threads. 2. Install Tee Assembly (B4303) into discharge side of pump (B4301), See Figure Figure 1 3. Install Pressure Tank (B4302) into Tee Assembly (B4303), See Figure 2. Figure 2 PARA-PUMP Booster System™...

4. Place the PBS in the desired location (See Figure 3, figure is for reference only). Ensure location is in accordance with local/State building codes. Pump must be securely anchored to the floor or wall of the mechanical room near the filter system. Use anchoring hardware supplied. Figure 3 5.

Note: When applicable, connection to the effluent manifold of a multiple tank filter system must be made between the filter tanks and the Priority/Rate of Flow Adjustment Valve. Do not make this connection after the Priority/Rate of Flow Adjustment Valve, as no water may be available at this connection.

Figure 5A 8. Install the center branch of 3/8” Quick Connect Tee (B4647) on to stem adapter of Tee Assembly (B4303), push until fitting bottoms out. Insert tubing into 3/8” Quick Connect Tee (B4647), branch closest to Pressure Switch (located on pump, B4301).

Figure 6 9. Insert tubing into open branch of 3/8” Quick Connect Tee (B4647). Cut tubing to the appropriate length and connect the opposite end of tubing to the inlet side of pressure regulator (provided with either Semi-Automatic or Automatic control system), see figure 7 on next page.
4.0 ELECTRICAL WIRING INSTRUCTION: Semi Automatic (Manual) Controller: Ensure all field wiring is made by experienced electrician and is in accordance with local/State building codes. Refer to Figure 8 for Semi Automatic (Manual) Controller. Semi-Automatic (Manual) filter systems will require the operator to turn on the PBS manually by a switch (switch provided by others).
