Pre-installation (continued) PACKAGE CONTENTS Part Description Quantity Pump Adaptor Screen Installation PUMPING FROM PONDS, STREAMS, AND LAKES Place the pump as close as possible (vertically) to the water source in order to maintain a suction lift (distance from the water to the pump) as short as possible.
Installation (continued) PIPING The figure below shows a typical installation. Threaded adaptors for connecting a garden hose are included. However, when using the flexible hose as the suction line, only use reinforced hose to avoid hose collapse during operation. Rigid pipe is recommended for the suction line.
Operation (continued) AUTOMATIC THERMAL PROTECTION CAUTION: Do not cycle or continue to run the pump following an overload condition. Thermal overloads are designed to protect the product and user during an extreme condition where normal operating parameters are exceeded. Determine the cause of an overload condition immediately after detection and resolve prior to operating the pump again.
Troubleshooting Symptom Possible Cause Corrective Action The pump will not start or run. There is a blown fuse or tripped breaker. If blown, replace with a proper sized fuse or reset breaker. The voltage line is low. If the voltage is under 108 volts, check the wiring size.
