I am unable to pair the Beoplay E8 to my device, or it does not auto-connect as it used to do. What do I do?
Some devices need to be paired with the E8 in a specific way. Here are the steps for Bluetooth pairing with these devices:
- Enable the Bluetooth pairing mode on E8 - LED indicator flashing blue
- Find the classic Bluetooth headphone icon (eg,
for Samsung phone) on your device and select to pair with it. - Do not select BLE symbol (eg.
for Samsung phone). Wait for the device to show the classic Bluetooth icon. - After pairing successful, the white LED will be solid ON for 20 seconds on the E8.
- If the above steps don't work, restart the device and remove all other paired device through a factory reset. Then pair this device to the E8 only.
To do a factory reset, touch and hold the left and right earphone simultaneously until the product indicator is flashing red (approximately 10 seconds). E8 will turn off once the reset is completed
If you select the BLE symbol, remove the E8 from the Bluetooth settings and restart your device. After powering on the device, perform Bluetooth pairing by selecting the Bluetooth classic icon.
If problems persist, this can be due to general Bluetooth interference
I cannot connect my Bluetooth device to my B&O PLAY Bluetooth speaker even though they have already been paired, why?
If you cannot connect your Bluetooth device to an already paired B&O PLAY Bluetooth speaker, you must try following:
- Make sure that Bluetooth is activated on your device and that you have selected your B&O PLAY Bluetooth speaker in the Bluetooth device list on your device and the connection has been confirmed by your device.
- If you have paired more than 8 devices, your B&O PLAY Bluetooth speaker automatically deletes the profile of the device less recently used. However, it may still appear in the Bluetooth device list on your device but you will not be able to connect it to your speaker until you have paired your device to your speaker again.
- Only two devices can be connected to your speaker at the time, if you want to connect a third device, you must first disconnect one of the other devices.
- The Bluetooth device may be out of range. Move it closer to your B&O PLAY Bluetooth speaker.
- Switch off all other Bluetooth devices within range or disable their Bluetooth functionality, if possible.
- Move your device away from other devices that generate interference such as, cordless phones, microwave ovens or wireless equipment.
- Switch the speaker off and back on, and pair it with your device again.
How do I initiate Bluetooth pairing?
Beoplay H4 are ready to pair immediately after unpacking. Turn Bluetooth on and select Beoplay H4. Alternatively, Press Vol+ Vol- simultaneously for 5 seconds to initiate Bluetooth pairing. Turn on Bluetooth on your device, and select Beoplay H4. The indicator turns solid blue when pairing is successful.
