Use the Bang & Olufsen app for setup, product customization and music enhancing features.

Turn on/off

Move switch to the ON position to turn on the headphones. To turn off, move the switch to the OFF position. The headphones will automatically turn off when not in use for 15 mins. Beoplay H9 remembers previously connected devices. When turned on, it will attempt to reconnect to previously paired devices.

Activate Bluetooth pairing

Move switch to the top position and hold for 2 sec. to initiate Bluetooth pairing. Release the switch when a sound is heard and the indicator starts flashing blue.

Select Beoplay H9 in the Bluetooth settings on your device.

Music operation - wireless

1. Tap to play or pause.
2. Circle clockwise or counter-clockwise for volume adjustment.
3. Swipe forward or backward for next or previous.

Music operation - wireless and cabled

Use the touchpad to control ANC in wireless or cabled mode. ANC is ON when the headphones are turned on and the indicator light turns white. Swipe from top to bottom to turn off ANC. Swipe again from top to bottom to turn on ANC.

Use the touchpad to control Transparency in wireless or cabled mode. Transparency is OFF when the headphones are turned on. Swipe from bottom to top to turn on Transparency Mode and the indicator light will turn orange. Swipe again from bottom to top to turn off Transparency Mode.

Call operation - wireless

1. Tap to answer call. Double tap to end call.
2. Circle clockwise or counter-clockwise for volume adjustment.

When a call is active, swipe forward to transfer it from the headphones to the smartphone.

Set up your Google Assistant

For Android devices, the Google Assistant is open for setup when Bluetooth pairing is initiated. For iOS devices, use the Google Assistant app for setup.

Use your Google Assistant

Press and hold the button to trigger or reply to your Google Assistant. Single press the button to get your notifications. Double press the button to stop your Google Assistant.

Voice Activation

Single press the button to activate the default voice assistant on your device. Enable the function using the Bang & Olufsen app first before voice activation.

Use with cable

Plug in the enclosed mini-jack cable to use the headphones if you are not allowed to use Bluetooth or if the battery is discharged.

Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) operation - cabled

1. When the cable is plugged in, move the switch to the bottom position to deactivate ANC.
2. Move the switch to middle position to activate ANC.

Charge battery

When the indicator turns red, the battery power is below 10%. Charge the headphones using the USB cable. You can use the headphones while they are charging. When the battery is fully charged, the indicator turns constant green.
