  • Page 6 Ground check on stator should be performed using ohmmeter with scale set at R x 100 and checking meter by putting both meter leads together and adjusting the needle knob until meter reads zero. If meter cannot be adjusted to zero, it will indicate that batteries in meter must be replaced.

    MAINTENANCE & REPAIR SEAL HOUSING The pump is equipped with two mechanical seals mounted in tandem. The lower seal (#14) and the upper seal (#5) consist of a ceramic stationary seat and a carbon rotating ring. As noted, if water is detected in the motor housing, inspect the power cord connection, pipe plug connections, O-rings, the motor housing itself, and the two mechanical seals.

    TROUBLESHOOTING PUMP DOES NOT RUN OR HUM Line circuit breaker may be off, or fuse, if used, may be blown or loose. Water level in sump may be too low. Run in more water. Pump cord plug may not be making contact in receptacle. If pump is using the series cord plug, the two plugs may not be plugged tightly together.

    INSTALLATION INSTALLATION DE LA POMPE Ces consignes importantes doivent être suivies pour obtenir une performance satisfaisante de la pompe : Prévoyez une fosse appropriée (le diamètre minimum recommandé pour la fosse est de 30 po). NE POSEZ PAS la pompe directement sur le fond de la fosse s’il n’est pas suffisamment solide.

    INSTALACIÓN INSTALACIÓN DE LA BOMBA Debe seguir estas instrucciones importantes para que la bomba funcione correctamente: Se recomienda un sumidero adecuado (con un diámetro mínimo de 30"). NO coloque la bomba directamente en la base del sumidero si este no es estable. Eleve la bomba con ladrillos o bloques de concreto debajo de la bomba.

  • Page 38 Revise la conexión a tierra del estator con un ohmímetro cuya escala esté configurada en R X 100 y revise el dispositivo. Para ello, junte ambos cables del medidor y ajuste la perilla de la aguja hasta que en el medidor se lea cero. Si el medidor no se puede ajustar en cero, indica que las baterías del medidor deben reemplazarse.
