7.1 About Connections
Wireless Sync sends or pushes new e-mail messages and PIM updates to you
XV6600, so you can stay connected to customers, colleagues, and family whenever you
are out of the office or away from your PC.
You can set up connections to the Internet and corporate network at work in order to do
such activities as browse the Internet or intranet, send and receive e-mail and instant
messages, and synchronize information using ActiveSync.
7.2 Setting Up Access to Wireless Sync
Pre-Installation Notes
Your XV6600 includes the Wireless Sync software pre-installed on

the device. Therefore, you do not have to install the device software from the
Wireless Sync website.
If your company uses a proxy to access the Internet, follow the
n
instructions in the
have installed the PC Monitor.
If your mail account type is Internet Mail (i.e. Comcast, Earthlink, Yahoo!

Mail Plus and other ISPs), then you should NOT install the PC Monitor.
Instead you should setup your mail account by following the steps in the
Internet Monitor
If you have an Exchange mail account, the PC Monitor requires the mail

to be stored in an Exchange mailbox. The mail may not be stored locally
on your PC in Personal Folders (PST files).
Requirements
For PC Monitor to work, you must meet the following requirements:
Microsoft Windows 2000, Microsoft Windows XP Professional or

Microsoft Windows Server 2003
You must be logged-in using your domain account instead of your local account.

Your user account must have permission to install software.
