Rear Panel Functions and Connections
ANALOG OUTPUT
connect with a pre-amplifier or
an amplifier with volume control

This should be the preferred
connection since CD5 has
been designed at fully balanced
circuit.

DIGITAL INPUT
to connect
with a personal computer or digital
music player
USB
USB input to connect with a PC using a USB cable
with a B-type plug. This input supports sampling
frequencies up to PCM 32bit/384kHz and from DSD64
2.8224MHz to DSD128 5.6448MHz in DoP method.
Windows10 (Ver1709 and newer), Windows11 and
Mac PC (X10.6.8 and newer) are already equipped
with a standard driver for USB 2.0 audio device,
and that may be capable of playing up to PCM 32
bits/384kHz. Compatible PC-Music player should be
prepared yourself.
Installing CEC specific ASIO driver, BRAVO-
HD for Windows PC (7 to 11), a freeware PC-Music
player, foobar2000 with additional ASIO and DSD
components can support DoP playback method for up
to DSD128.

COAXIAL
Standard (SPDIF) digital signal input jack with a
RCA type connector. Connect with a digital audio
player using a RCA (75Ω) cable. This input supports
up to 24bit/192kHz.

Optical (SPDIF) digital signal input jack with a
square TOS LINK connector. Connect with a digital
audio player using an optical cable with a square TOS
LINK plug. This input supports up to 24bit/192kHz.

square TOS LINK connector. Connect with a digital
audio player using an optical cable with a square TOS
LINK plug.
AC POWER
AC LINE
Connect the supplied 3-pin AC power cord to the AC
LINE inlet and the wall outlet.
