The AMS shade arms are under constant spring-loaded tension. DO NOT attempt to remove the canvas under any circumstance. The canvas can only be removed by a Lippert service tech or an authorized service representative. Attempting to remove the canvas may result in death, serious personal injury, component, or property damage. -

The installer will need to ensure that he or she has all of the recommended tools that are needed for their installation. The installer needs to ensure that he or she follows all safety warnings in the manual. • Never disassemble any part of the shade without permission from the Lippert factory or you will void the warranty. -

Installation First, ensure that the mounting locations have sufficient backing material added to the framework and/or hardtop structure. Also, ensure the overall frame of the structure will support the added weight of the AMS system. Measure across the hardtop at the aft section from the port side to the starboard side. Overextend Adjustment NOTE: The adjustment wand and the manual override tool are included with the shade kit. Insert the wand (Fig. 5B) in the extend fixture (Fig. 5A).
