- Page 7 JUMP STARTING INSTRUCTIONS • Instructions for negatively earthed vehicles only (most vehicles after 1970 are negatively earthed). • Before jump starting a vehicle, it is recommended to ensure the jump starter is fully charged. JUMP STARTING STEP INSTRUCTION DISPLAY The jump starter should be charged for around 8 to 12 hours depending on the model prior to first use and as soon as possible after each use.
