    Back Panel Port RJ45 Port Description RJ45 10/100/1000BASE-T ports for Ethernet connection Back Panel Power Supply Installation Requirements Before you begin the installation, make sure that you have the following: Desktop mounting: ESD bracelet or ESD gloves. Wall mounting: ESD bracelet or ESD gloves, ladder, marker, hammer drill, rubber hammer, screwdriver.

    Site Environment: Do not operate it in an area that exceeds an ambient temperature of 40°C. The installation site must be well-ventilated. Make sure that there is adequate air ow around the switch. Make sure that the switch is level and stable to avoid any hazardous conditions.

    Wall Mounting 1. Drill two holes, and press two expansion tubes into the two holes respectively. 2. Insert the screws into the expansion tubes respectively.

    Grounding the Switch 1. Connect one end of the grounding cable to a proper earth ground, such as the wall in which the switch is mounted. 2. Secure the grounding lug to the grounding point on the left side of the switch with the washers and the screw. The earth connection must not be removed CAUTION: unless all supply connections have been disconnected.

    1. Connect an Ethernet cable to the RJ45 port of a computer, printer, network storage, or other network devices. 2. Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to the RJ45 port of the switch. Connecting the Power 1. Plug the DC power cord into the power port on the back of the switch.
