FOR YOUR SAFETY ELECTRICAL SAFETY The machine may only be connected to a power socket with a properly installed protective contact. The machine must be protected by a residual current device (FI switch) with a rated false current not exceeding 30 mA. Prior to connecting the machine it is necessary to ensure that the mains connection corresponds to the values for the connection of the machine. - Page 8 Do not use the machine on a tiled or concrete floor. OPERATING THE SHREDDER 7. OPERATING THE SHREDDER WARNING: Before connecting the machine to a power source, always check that the switch is turned off. Connecting the machine with the switch in the on position may cause it to turn on unexpectedly and result in a serious injury. -

SETTING UP AND WORKING WITH THE SHREDDER SETTING THE COUNTER-BLADE DISTANCE For efficient operation it is necessary to set the distance between the counter-blade (Fig. 7, point 2) and the cutting roller (Fig. 7, point 3). The gap between the cutting roller and the counter-blade should be as small as possible. -

Check that all fastening screws and bolts are tightened (tighten them if necessary). Lubricate metal components to protect against corrosion. Maintain holes clean and free of dust.
