  • Page 10 Cleaning Precautions To prevent electrical shock, disconnect the Keysight Technologies instrument from mains before cleaning. Use a dry cloth or one slightly dampened with water to clean the external case parts. Do not attempt to clean internally. To clean the connectors, use alcohol in a well-ventilated area.     Front Panel Connectors Power and Sense Connector The power and sense leads connector for the M9111A is shown below. The plug associated with this connector is an 8-pin connector plug that is available as Keysight part number 1253-6408. This plug is also available from Phoenix Contact as part number MC 1,5/8-ST-3,5.

    Guarding is generally not required when measuring currents 1μA and greater. As shown below, cable guards are available at the internal connector of the M9111A module. The guard is typically used to drive the shields of cables and test fixtures. It provides a buffered voltage at the same potential as the module's Output + connector terminals.
