Removal and Replacement Procedures

Removing a Memory Module

To remove a memory module:
1. Complete the preparation procedures. Refer to "Preparation Procedures" earlier in this
chapter.
2. Remove the front bezel. Refer to "Front Bezel" earlier in this chapter.
3. Remove the access panel. Refer to "Access Panel" earlier in this chapter.
4. Press outward on both latches of the memory module socket at the same time (1). This
step releases the DIMM and pushes it partially out of the socket.
5. Lift the memory module from the socket (2).

To replace a memory module, reverse steps 2 through 5.
