Appendix B: Performance Verification
ADD Input Tests
Function Generator (AFG310)
Connect the function generator output
to the rear panel of the AWG400
series ADD IN CH1 input connector.

These procedures verify the AWG400-Series Arbitrary Waveform Generator
ADD input function.
NOTE. Verify the CH1 output for the AWG410, CH1 and CH2 outputs for
AWG420, CH1, CH2 and CH3 outputs for AWG430.
Equipment
required
Prerequisites
1. Do the following steps to install the test hookup and set the test equipment
controls:
a. Use a 50 W BNC coaxial cable to connect to the rear panel of the
AWG400-Series ADD IN CH1 input connector to the function generator
(AFG310) output connector (see Figure B–39).
b. Connect the BNC-to-banana adapter and a 50 W BNC coaxial cable to
the digital multimeter input connector. Connect the loose end of the 50
W BNC coaxial cable to the AWG400-Series CH1 output connector (see
Figure B–39).

c. Set the DMM controls as follows:
Two 50 W BNC coaxial cable, A BNC to banana adapter, a 50 W preci
sion terminator, a function generator, and a digital multimeter (DMM).
