Chapter 2: Server Installation Chapter 2 Chassis Installation 2.1 Overview This chapter provides advice and instructions for mounting your chassis in a server rack. If your chassis is not already fully integrated with processors, system memory, etc., refer to Chapter 3 for details on installing those specific components.
Chapter 2: Server Installation • In single rack installations, stabilizers should be attached to the rack. In multiple rack installations, the racks should be coupled together. • Always make sure the rack is stable before extending a server or other component from the rack.

The system features two redundant 2000 W power supplies. Each power supply can be changed without powering down the system. New units can be ordered directly from Supermicro or authorized distributors. These power supplies are auto-switching capable. This feature enables them to automatically sense and operate with an input voltage of 100-120 V or 180-240 V.

Appendix B: System Specifications General Data Center Environmental Specifications Particulate contamination specifications Air filtration: Data centers must be kept clean to Class 8 of ISO 14644-1 (ISO 2015). The air entering the data center should be filtered with a MERV 11 filter or better. The air within the data center should be continuously filtered with a MERV 8 filter or better.
